Quebec is the only Canadian province where a majority of the population speak
French, and the only province of Canada whose official language is French.
However, most of the residents are bi-lingual and you should have no problems
if you only speak only English. Quebec residents adore visitors to their beautiful
land.
Quebec is Canada's largest province by area. Only the territory of Nunavut is
larger and it's the second most populated province after Ontario with most of
the population living in urban areas near the Saint Lawrence River between
Quebec City (the capital) and Montreal. English-speaking communities are
concentrated to the west of the island of Montreal but are also significantly
present in the Outaouais, the Eastern Townships, and Gaspé regions.
However, the northern half of the province is thinly populated and inhabited primarily
by Aboriginal peoples.
Quebec is a visitors dream come true, with more things to do, places to visit
and foods to explore then could be covered in a lifetime.
If you'd like to enjoy a truly unique experience come and visit Quebec.
Bon voyage!
